Tyndale Connect is a group of parents and carers who are actively involved in the life of our school community.
Tyndale Connect supports the School's Vision Statement:
To see parents and children experience the benefits of Bible-based, Christ-centred, parent controlled education in order that they might be prepared and equipped for a life of service as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Tyndale Connect provides opportunities for social interaction amongst parents, carers and staff.
What does Tyndale Connect do?
Tyndale Connect meets regularly in Coffee Tyn Cafe - at least once each month to:
- Enjoy friendship
- Encourage and pray for one another
- Hear from various guest speakers
- Provide a support network for all parents and carers
- Assist with various school events such as sports carnivals and Tynday
- Develop and run fundraising activities and events
- Provide opportunities for social networking and outings (craft mornings, coffee mornings, bus trips to Koorong, Movies)
- Cater for a variety of school functions (Working Bee lunches, Year 11 Study day lunches)
- Create and provide meals for families in need (Hospitality days)
- Plan special food days (Paddle Pop day and Milk and Muffin Day)
- Coordinate Mothers' and Fathers' Day stalls
... plus many other useful and fun activities!
How is Tyndale Connect organised?
Tyndale Connect is made up of families and friends from the school community who wish to be involved in any of the organised activities. A committee is elected and responsible for organising activities agreed to at meetings. The committee consists of:
- 1 or 2 Coordinators
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Community Relations representative on behalf of the School Board
The Coordinator(s) must be a member of the Association for Christian Education Blacktown Limited.
Any profits from our activities are used for the benefit of the School community in a variety of ways. Previous projects have included chair covers for school functions, music band attire and equipment for sick bay.
Minutes are circulated after each meeting via email to everyone who would like a copy. Everyone is always welcome to pop in for a coffee or a chat!
