Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care and Discipline

At Tyndale the pastoral care and discipline of students takes place within the context of relationships. Teachers work hard to develop strong relationships with students, both in the classroom and during extra-curricular activities, such as camps, excursions and small group meetings. Teachers, acting in support of parents, seek to disciple students towards genuine Christ-like behaviour, modelling and encouraging mutual respect, integrity and accountability. The students are given clear guidelines regarding behaviour and are expected to contribute towards a positive learning community. Guidance and correction are part of the making of a disciple; a follower of Jesus Christ.

Students meet regularly with members of staff in Pastoral care session where they share devotions, and a number of formal and informal programs that are designed to cater for the mental health, spiritual and physical well being of the students based on a Christian and Biblical context.
