In addition to core subjects, students in Stage 5 (Years 9 and 10) choose elective subjects, as their interests and abilities begin to lead them in different directions.

Electives are drawn from Creative Arts, Sports Science and Technology and Applied Studies.

A variety of subjects are offered, and students select two from the following list:

• Commerce
• Food Technology
• History Elective
• Physical Activity and Sport Studies (PASS)
• Visual Arts
• Computing Technology
• Industrial Technology Timber
• Music

Students must select two subjects that they will study over two years, in both Years 9 and 10. These subjects will appear on their Year 1- Record of School Achievement (ROSA).
